1.750 kmIn six days, I had the opportunity to test the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally extensively. I picked up the bike at the Ducati dealer in Salzburg. With its advanced technologies and powerful V4 Granturismo engine, the Multistrada is designed to be a true all-round touring bike.
DAY1: Passes and Curves
On the first day, I drove over three spectacular passes towards Vorarlberg and covered almost 400 km. The V4 Granturismo Engine with 170 hp offers impressive acceleration and powerful performance. The Multistrada V4 Rally is surprisingly good in the corners, thanks to the sporty geometry and the high-quality suspension tuning.
Day 2: Rainy Day
The second day came with rain and prevented me from driving. However, even when I wasn’t on the road, I realized that the Multistrada V4 Rally was well equipped for wet conditions. The standard traction control and the Ducati Safety Pack ensures that you feel safe, even in adverse conditions.
Day 3: Urban Exploration
The third day took me to Liechtenstein, where I tested the urban environment and the motorway. The Multistrada V4 Rally has mastered urban challenges with ease. The narrow handlebar and upright sitting position make manoeuvring in narrow streets easy. On the highway, I felt safe and secure.
Day 4: Rain again
The fourth day was again marked by rain and, while I couldn’t drive, I reflected on the technological equipment of the Multistrada. The 6.5-inch TFT screen offers excellent readability and intuitive handling. Even in wet weather, the view of the instruments remains clear, which is advantageous for safety.
Day 5: Dream Tour through Vorarlberg
On the fifth day, I left the rainy weather behind me and set off for an unforgettable tour through Vorarlberg. The sun was shining through the clouds, and the scenery offered a breathtaking view. I drove over the Bregenzerwald, where winding roads meander through green meadows and dense forests. With each stroke of the gas, I felt the powerful acceleration of the V4 Granturismo engine.
I reached the Furka Pass, where the view was breathtaking. The snow-covered peaks in the background created a perfect contrast to the lush green valleys; I enjoyed the moment. The change between tight curves and wide ones made every second on the road a real pleasure.
From there I went to Warth, where the streets became narrower and the landscape even more impressive. Even here, the Multistrada V4 Rally mastered these challenging passages: I felt safe and comfortable in every moment. On the way to the Lechtal, there were many small villages where time seemed to stop. I stopped to enjoy the regional cuisine and get in touch with locals.
The return trip over the Hantenjoch and the Arlberg Pass was another highlight. The changing altitude and the variety of landscapes kept the ride exciting.
Day 6: Home in the Rain
On the last day, I had to drive back to Salzburg and covered the entire distance of almost 400 km in pouring rain. Thanks to the seat and grip heating, I remained warm and comfortable, even in these conditions.
Overall, the week with the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally was an impressive experience. It combines performance, comfort and advanced technology to deliver an unmatched driving experience. Whether in sunny weather, in the city, or in pouring rain – the Multistrada V4 Rally has proved to be extremely versatile. For anyone looking for a powerful and, at the same time, comfortable touring motorcycle, the Multistrada V4 Rally is a recommendation!
