1883 kmAn unforgettable adventure through Spain and Portugal.
As a Ducati influencer, I had the privilege of experiencing one of the most exciting experiences of my career: participating in the “Multistrada 60.000 km European Tour” and travelling almost 2,000 km on the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally on the most spectacular roads in Spain and Portugal in just five days. A route full of breathtaking sceneries, unforgettable moments and, of course, the comfort and reliability that only a Ducati can offer.
Day 1: Lisbon – The beginning of a great adventure
I started my trip in Lisbon, with a sunny day that invited me to discover the city before receiving the bike. As the Multistrada V4 Rally would not be ready until noon, I took the opportunity to get lost in the streets of the city, exploring its most emblematic corners. At 1pm, finally I got the bike and, excited, I headed to the north of Portugal.
I traveled through several roads that offered spectacular landscapes, passing through places like the National Palace of Queluz, the picturesque Sao Pedro de Sintra, and enjoying the views that extended both along the coast and the mountains. That night, after traveling about 300 kilometers, I reached Porto where I took a night tour and headed to the hotel to rest, ready to continue the journey the next day.
Day 2: Oporto – A Coruña – We travelled the north coast
At 9am, I took the road north to Spain. The first stop was Vigo, where the grey sky and some rain did not discourage me. It was just the beginning, and nothing was going to slow me down. After enjoying the walk through the city, I continued my way to Santiago de Compostela.
Despite the grey and cloudy weather, the northern roads were impressive. The routes, surrounded by intense green and landscapes that seem taken from a story, were a delight for the senses. Around 5pm, I arrived in A Coruña, and I walked around to discover the city. Between the Tower of Hercules and the historic center, I explored its corners and tasted the typical foods, from the octopus to the Galician and mussels. After a delicious dinner, I had a last night tour around the city before resting to face the next day.
Day 3: A Coruña – Santander – Unrivaled landscapes
The third day promised to be the longest in terms of kilometers, but the Multistrada V4 Rally was ready for the challenge. I left in the morning and, although the forecast was for rain, the sun began to rise. I stopped in Ribadeo, a picturesque town with an impressive cliff. There, I visited the famous Cathedral Beach. What an impressive place! I were surprised by the cliffs and rock formations.
I arrived in Santander around 6pm: the city was wrapped in a spectacular Christmas atmosphere. So, I went out for a night walk, surrounded by bright lights and Christmas markets. I enjoyed the essence of the city.
Day 4: Santander – Salamanca – Adapting to the weather
On the fourth day, I had to change my plans. I was initially going to head towards San Sebastian passing by Bilbao; however, the forecast of heavy rain and wind made me reconsider the route. I decided to go to Salamanca, where the weather promised to be nicer. Despite the rain of the first stretch and temperatures remaining cold, the sun began to shine strongly and the trip was beautiful, with landscapes so flat and different from what I saw until then.
Salamanca was a wonderful discovery. Despite the intense cold, the city dazzled me with its beauty and life. I took the opportunity to walk through its streets, enjoy a bright sun and visit the most emblematic places, such as the cathedral before preparing for the last leg of the trip.
Day 5: Salamanca – Madrid – The end of a great adventure
The last day was the most direct, as temperatures began to drop. Thanks to the comfort of the Multistrada V4 Rally, I barely felt the cold: its heated seat made the ride much more comfortable. I arrived in Madrid at 6:30pm. The city was vibrant, full of Christmas atmosphere. I strolled along the Gran Vía, the Puerta del Sol and the Paseo de la Castellana, enjoying a magical Madrid. The night walk through the city was the perfect ending to this incredible trip.
My the last day, after a wonderful experience, I went to the Royal Palace where Charly was waiting for me, to pick up the bike and give it to the next rider.
The road to Santander was one of the most beautiful. I breathed in the fresh air of those incredible natural landscapes. I enjoyed every kilometre, walking along roads surrounded by spectacular scenery.
Not only did the Multistrada V4 Rally take me through 2,000 km, but it allowed me to enjoy the trip in a unique way.
I handed over the bike and headed to the airport, with a smile on my face and the feeling of having experienced something unforgettable.
Thank you, Ducati, for let me be part of this unique experience. Until the next adventure, we’ll see you on the road!
